Creative ways to say “Thank you” this holiday season

With the festive holidays well underway, many of us are making plans with family and friends, holiday shopping (or procrastinating… “Agghhh…it's the mall mob!”) and figuring out whose turn it is to cook the “bird” this year!

Gift baskets are one great way to say “thank you” to either an individual or a team of people, and can usually be customized according to budgets and preference.

It's hard to believe, but another year is almost gone and a new one fast approaching. I sometimes wonder, “where does the time go!” However, it is a fabulous occasion and a great opportunity to extend warm wishes and thanks to your employees, clients and suppliers that have gone the extra mile and contributed to the success of your business this year - no matter how large or small the contribution.

Some ideas to say “thank you” are:

1. Christmas Cards with your company logo imprinted.

Sending Christmas cards to everyone on your database is an inexpensive but yet effective way of keeping in touch with everyone on your list. With your logo imprinted on the card, it's also a great way to keep your company's logo in the forefront of everyone's mind. Even those that you may have had little or no dealings at all this year - it doesn't hurt to send a card and let them know that you're thinking of them.

2. Gift Baskets

Gift baskets are a great way to say “thank you” to either an individual or a team of people and can usually be customized according to budgets and preference. Due to their versatility, many companies are increasingly choosing corporate gifts baskets as “goodies” that can be shared by all as it's a great way to ensure that everyone is included.

3. Lunch

Taking staff, clients or suppliers out for lunch and spending some time re-connecting with them is another great way to say “thanks for your continual support”.

4. Open House

Hosting a “Christmas Open House” may not be suitable for all businesses due to cost, etc., but it's an option for some. It's a great way to have everyone in one place at one time, for everyone to re-connect and a superb way of spending some “quality” time without feeling the pressure of “getting to the next meeting on time!”

Even though there are many other options, these are just a few. Remember, a simple “thank you” goes a long way and what a better time or occasion to do so.

Wishing you all the very best of the season, cheers to a great and successful New Year and thank you for your continued support - it's always greatly appreciated!
